What to expect...
The workshops
Our teachers from around the jivin' globe will be offering a great programme of modern jive workshops for all levels of dancer. We run parallel workshops each morning - with basic introductions for new modern jivers as well as plenty of workshops for more advanced dancers: leans, drops, style, musicality, latin and tango jive, 6-count jive, blues and an introduction to West Coast Swing.
This year we're introducing a tripple-whammy Cabaret-Choreo workshop: you can choose to spend the first three hours learning cool moves, essential technique and latin style - choreographed by Thierry and Christelle from Simply Leroc. The cabaret will be performed at our "Saturday Night Special" party.
The workshops will all be held in the Dance Terminal 1 (DT1), a bright, purpose-built complex in the heart of the city, a stone's throw from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Here's a map.
Here's the programme as it currently stands - pretty much in its final form! See The Team page for more info on teachers already confirmed. All teaching will be in English.
